WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR LANDSCAPE
WHEN IT IS INSTALLED

THE WEATHER IS FRIGHTFUL!

Everyone hopes for rain as their landscape is planted to assist in the chore of watering.
As well received as these rains are, they also throw a wrench in our schedules. We try very hard to keep an accurate schedule for work to be started and completed. Wet conditions can produce a domino effect on our schedule. For every day it rains, it pushes our schedule back a day. Wet conditions also slow the progress and speed of our work. Consequently, thank you in advance for your understanding and patience.

PLANTS GET STRESSED OUT TOO!

Many times your plant material will experience stress form being moved and transplanted. This stress is very common and usually is shown by browning leaves, wilting and even complete loss of all leaves. This does not mean the plant is dead. On the contrary, what the plant is doing is protecting itself from transpiration. Our bodies protect themselves in a similar fashion, if we get sunburn we may blister and then we peel. A plant's leaf is very similar to our skin. A plant's quality can be judged by its shape, not by the number of leaves it has.

LET'S GET DOWN TO THE ROOT OF THE SITUATION!

Perennial flowers are not a hardwood plant, but basically a root system. This root system develops foliage and flowers that are herbaceous. The leaves, stems and flowers die back every year and return the next season. Depending on the time of year in which your job is installed the look of your perennials will be different. For example, if your job is installed in early April you may not see foliage on your perennials. This does not mean that it's not there; remember you have purchased a root system. Perennial flowers and groundcovers in most cases are planted with spacing that leaves room for your landscape's full potential in two to three years.
